Remittances reached US$35.56 billion, growth of 17.3 percent

In the fiscal year 2025-26, Bangladesh received US$35.562 billion in remittances, which is 17.3 percent more than the US$30.329 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

This information was given in the latest updated data of Bangladesh Bank released on Tuesday.

According to the data, a total of US$2.806 billion in remittances came to the country from June 1 to June 30 of this year. This amount was US$2.823 billion in the same period last year. 

Accordingly, there was a negative growth of 0.6 percent in remittances in June.

Meanwhile, US$120 million in remittances came to the country in a single day on June 30. However, this is a provisional (provisional) calculation. Due to bank holidays, the data of 11 banks was not included in it.
