Gold prices decrease in domestic market

Gold prices have decreased in the country's market. According to the new decision, the price of 22-carat gold has decreased by Tk3,323 per bhori. 

Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the new price in a notification on Thursday morning. The new price has been effective from 10 am.

BAJUS said that the price of pure gold has decreased. The price has been adjusted after reviewing the overall situation.

The BAJUS notification also said that the new price has been fixed including VAT. However, wages will be added separately depending on the design and craftsmanship of the jewellery. 

A decision will be made later regarding the VAT on silver jewellery.
