BB decision to remove NRBC Bank's MD upheld

The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the Bangladesh Bank decision to removed NRB Commercial Bank’s Managing Director Dewan Mujibur Rahman.
A five-member bench of the appellate division headed by Acting Chief Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah passed the order after disposing a petition in this regard.
According to the apex court, its stay order on the High Court freeze on Bangladesh Bank’s decision to remove Dewan Mujibur will continue.
Earlier on December 6, Bangladesh Bank removed The NRB Commercial Bank MD Dewan Mujibur over loan scams involving around Tk 700 crore.
