Duration of Dhaka trade fair extended again

The government has extended the duration of this year's Dhaka International Trade Fair by two days again.

The decision was taken on Monday in response to the request of the businessmen, said Commerce Secretary Zafar Uddin. 

The DITF that began on January 1 at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka was supposed to come to an end on January 31.

But the duration of the month-long DITF was extended till February 4 as the fair was closed on Friday and Saturday due to polls to two Dhaka city corporations.

Later, the fair was extended by two more days following the requests of the businesses.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair on January 1 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.
