Banking hours to be 10am-12.30pm during lockdown: BB

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has fixed the banking hours from 10am to 12.30pm from Monday amid the lockdown to halt sharp rise of COVID-19 in the country, said a Bangladesh Bank (BB) circular issued on Sunday.

The new time will continue until April 11 except weekly and government holidays, the circular added.

The government has issued a notification imposing lockdown from April 5 to April 11 to curb the sharp rise of COVID-19 in the country.

According to the notification, movement of public transports — bus, train, launch and plane — will remain suspended while public and private offices and business establishments will be closed during the lockdown.
