Robi CEO resigns

Mahtab Uddin Ahmed has stepped down from his role as managing director and CEO of Robi, Bangladesh’s second-largest telecoms operator.

The top executive's term officially comes to an end on Oct 31.

Mahtab has decided not to renew his contract and will go on leave with immediate effect, said sources at the company.

The company’s chief financial officer
M Riyaaz Rasheed will take over as acting CEO in addition to his current duties.
