Biman flight launches on Syedpur-Cox's Bazar route

Considering the demand of the domestic passengers, direct flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has been launched on Syedpur-Cox's Bazar route.

Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan inaugurated the flight as the chief guest at Syedpur Terminal at 10 am on Thursday.

The Railway Minister said that with the foresight of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, it is becoming possible to launch new flights on new routes.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali presided over the inaugural function.

Mokammel Hossain, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism; Sazzadul Hasan, Chairman, Biman Bangladesh Airlines; Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal, Managing Director (MD) and CEO of Biman Bangladesh; Asaduzzaman Noor, Member of Parliament for Nilphamari-2, Ahsan Adelur Rahman, Local MP, Rabia Alim, MP of the reserved women's seat were present on the occasion.

The flight with 66 passengers left Syedpur at 12:10 pm for Cox's Bazar. The fare on the opening day was Tk5,100. However, the regular fare on this route is Tk5,900.
