Over Tk 2cr toll collection of Padma Bridge in first 24 hours

In the first 24 hours following the bridge's public opening up until 6 a.m. on Monday, some 51,316 cars crossed the Padma Bridge in total.

According to a source at the Bangladesh Bridge Authority, Tk 20,940,300 in toll was collected from cars using the Padma Bridge.

After the bridge was opened to traffic, authorities collected Tk 10,895,900 from 26,589 cars that passed through the Mawa toll plaza.

During this time, a further 24,727 cars passed through the Janjira toll booth, bringing in Tk 10,044,400 for the government.

On Sunday, around six in the morning, the nation's longest bridge was made accessible to vehicles.
