Huge cache of arms, ammo unearthed in Sherpur

In a special drive, the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have unearthed huge cache of arms and ammunition from a forest in Kalpani area under Nalitabari upazila in Sherpur.

“The drive started on Sunday night and it is still underway,” Maj Rumman Mahmud, Deputy Director of RAB's Legal and Media wing, said around 11:00am on Monday.
 

Lieutenant Colonel Mahbub Alam, captain of RAB-5, and Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, Director (Intelligence) of RAB, told Samakal that huge cache of arms and ammunition have been unearthed from the forest.  

However, the amount of the unearthed arms and ammunition and who stored those there were not known immediately.
