27,000 Yaba pills recovered in Comilla

Police recovered 27,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from Baburchi area on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chauddagram upazila on Friday night.

 

Tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and challenged a Comilla-bound motorcycle carrying two people from Feni at about 8:30 pm, said officer-in-charge of Chauddagram Police Station Mohammad Farhad, reports the UNB.

 

The duo managed to flee leaving behind a bag containing 27,000 pieces of Yaba tablet.

 

Later police recovered the Yaba tablets from the bag.

 

A case was filed in this connection.
