Derailment snaps Mymensingh-Netrakona rail link

The train communication of Mymensingh with Netrakona remained snapped following the derailment of a local train at Gouripur station in Gouripur upazila on Friday noon.

 

Abdul Ahad, officer-in-charge of Government Railway Police (GRP) here, said two bogies including the locomotive of the Mymensingh-bound local train from Mohanganj in Netrakona veered off the track while the train was entering the station around 12:30 pm, reports the UNB.

 

The train communication between the two districts remained cut off since the derailment, Ahad added.
