3 JMB suspects held in Rajshahi

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested three alleged members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in possession of 16 Molotov cocktails, seven grenades and some jihadi (religious uprising) books from Sheguna area in Baghmara upazila early Sunday, reports the UNB.

 

Assistant Superintendent of Police Alok Biswas of Rab-5 said tipped off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the area and arrested Anisur Rahman,35, son of Azizur Rahman of Wapda Colony in Fenchuganj upazila of Sylhet, Abu Sayeed Manik,28, son of Saiful Islam of Fulpur upazila in Mymensingh and Shahen Shah,52, son of Habibullah of Maijdi area in Sadar upazila of Noakhali district, when they were staying three at about 5:00 am.

 

Rab members also recovered 16 Molotov cocktails, seven grenades and some jihadi books from their possession.
