Polls violence: 8 killed in 5 districts- Focus Bangla
A total of eight people were killed in five districts in UP poll violence in the country on Tuesday.
At least three people were killed when miscreants were trying to seize a voting centre after voting ended in the UP polls in Mathbaria upazila of Pirojpur this evening.
The dead, however, could not be identified immediately while several others were also injured.
The incident took place when members of law enforcement agencies opened fire to stop centre seizure efforts at the area.
The incident happened at Safa Degree College polling centre at Dhonisafa union.
Pirojpur Police Super Oalid Hossen has confirmed the clash to media tonight.
In Cox's Bazar, a total two people were killed in a clash centering polls at Satrang Union of Teknaf.
Our Netrokona correspondent also confirmed one dead in the violence while two others were also killed in Jhalakati and Sirajganj.
