One killed in Gopalganj road mishap

The assistant of a truck driver has ben killed after the vehicle overturned in Gopalganj.

The incident happened on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway at Ghonaparha under Gopalganj Sadar around 6:30am on Thursday.
 
Police identified the deceased as Jalal, 35, son of Jalil Mia of Khulna’s Khalishpur.
 
Gopalganj Sadar police Sub-inspector Shah Alam said the soybean oil-laden truck overturned after the driver lost control of the vehicle, leaving Jalal dead on the spot.
 
The body of Jalal has been taken to the Gopalganj General Hospital.
