Attendant of Anukulchandra Ashram killed in Pabna

A man was chopped to death by some miscreants at Hemayetpur of the district early today, reports the BSS.

 

The deceased was identified as Nittyaranjan Pandey, 62, Thakur of Anukulchandra Satsanga of Hemayetpur ashram.

 

Officer in charge of Pabna sadar police Abdullah Al Hasan said a group of miscreants chopped him in the head and neck, while he was in morning walk in front of Pabna Mental Hospital at around 5 am, leaving him dead on the spot.

 

The reason behind the killing could not be known yet, the OC added.

 

Nittyaranjan Pandey had been serving at the ashram for the last 40 years.

 

Being informed, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent to hospital morgue.
