IO of Mitu killing case changed

The investigation officer (IO) of Mahmuda Khanam Mitu, wife of Babul Akter, superintendent of police of Dhaka police headquarters, killing case has been changed.

Assistant commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) Kamruzzaman has been given charge of the case, said Debdas Bhattacharya, CMP Additional Commissioner (Crime and Operation).

Earlier to this, Detective Branch (DB) Inspector Rakibuddin was charged to investigate into the sensational killing case. 

Earlier on June 5, Mitu, 32, was stabbed and shot dead by unidentified assailants at the port city's GEC intersection on her way to drop her son to school.
