HC orders Banshkhali MP Mustafizur to surrender

The High Court has refused Banshkhali, Chittagong MP Mustafizur Rahman Chowdhury an anticipatory bail on charges of assaulting an election official.
Earlier, the Election Commission postponed election to 14 Union Parishads of Banshkhali under Chittagong district after the MP allegedly assaulted an election officer.
The commission had also decided to sue the member of parliament, Mustafizur Rahman Chowdhury, for assaulting upazila election officer Zahid Hossian.
