Hindu priest stabbed in Satkhira

When the entire nation is passing through a nerve-racking situation as regards the terrorist attack on the Gulshan restaurant, a Hindu priest of a local temple came under a machete attack by unknown assailants at Bajuadanga village in Sadar upazila early Saturday.

The victim Bhabosindhu Bar, son of Hararinam Bar, a resident of the village and priest of Bharmarajpur Radhagobindo temple, received severe injuries.

Locals said Bhabosindhu used to sleep at the temple, UNB reports.

A gang of miscreants numbering 6/7 attacked the temple and beat the guard.

Later they stabbed Bhabosindhu, leaving him critically injured.

Hearing his scream, locals rushed to the spot, rescued him and had him admitted to Satkhira Sadar Hospital, said Emdadul Haque Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

On Information, police visited the spot.
