5 to die for killing schoolboy in Narsingdi

A Narsingdi court has awarded death penalty to five people for killing a six-year-old schoolboy in the district.

Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Shamim Ahmed passed the order on Wednesday.

The convicts are: Sajib Khan, 22, Shakil Mia, 18, Imran Mia, 20, Shamim Osman, 19, and Rubel Mia, 18. Among them Imran is on the run.

According to the case statement, the convicts killed the class one student Hasibul Hasan Ayon for ransom after kidnapping him on May 26, 2013.
