Gazipur factory fire yet to be doused after 28 hours

Firefighters are still battling to completely douse the fire that was triggered at a packaging factory in Tongi BSCIC industrial area of Gazipur yesterday more than 28 hours after the incident happened.

About 25 firefighting units comprising of 150 workers were seen working at the scene to bring the situation under control. The fire yet to be doused when the report was filed around 9:00am today.

The fire fighters are trying to extinguish the blaze and working around the factory after divided into several groups. Smoke still coming out inside the factory which also collapsed due to the gas pipe line explosion.

In the early hours of Saturday, a deadly fire triggered at Tampako Packaging Factory in Tongi BSCIC industrial area of Gazipur. Till now, 25 people were killed and more than 70 injured in the fire.
