Bus-truck collision kills 2 in Sitakunda

At least two people were killed in a collision between a truck and a bus at Modon Hat area of Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Olina, 30, a passenger of the bus, and Sumen Chandra Paul, 40, helper of the truck.

Police and witnesses said a truck hit an opposite head local bus in Modon Hat area around 6:30am, leaving Olina and Sumen dead on the spot.

Saleh Ahmed Pathan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baro Auliaya Police Station, confirmed the incident to Samakal.
