Bus-truck collision kills 4 in Madhupur

Four people were killed and 20 others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a bus in Tangail.

The road accident took place on Tangail-Mymensingh highway at Ashura in Madhupur upazila on Saturday evening.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge of Madhupur Police Station Shafiqul Islam said the Dhaka-bound truck collided with the Mymensingh-bound bus around 7:00pm, leaving scores of passengers of both vehicles injured.

The injured were rushed to Madhupur upazila health complex were four people succumbed to their injuries, he added.
