2 killed in Bogra road crash

Two people were killed and 15 injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a bus on Dhaka-Bogra highway at Mirzapur Ambagan in Sherpur upazila early Monday.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, UNB reports.

Officer-in-charge of Sherpur Police Station Erfan Ali said a Dhaka-bound goods-laden truck collided head-on with a bus coming from the opposite direction in the area around 3:00am, leaving one dead on the spot and 16 others injured.

The injured were rushed to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where one of the injured succumbed to the injuries around 8:30am on Monday, the OC added.
