2 Bhola workers die inhaling toxic gas

Two workers died after inhaling toxic gas in a septic tank at Kalibari road in Sadar upazila on Saturday morning, UNB reports.

The deceased were identified as Al Amin of Char Pata union in Daulatkhan upazila and Rajib of Char Samaiya union of Sadar upazila.

Locals said Al Amin and Rajib along with some others were working in an under-construction building of Abdul Goni around 10.30am.

At one stage, Al Amin went down the tank. As there was no response from him for a while, Rajib also went down the tank.

Getting no response from the duo, the fellow-workers informed the house owner.

After their rescue by locals, they were taken to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead.

Dr Towhidul Islam Rabbani at the hospital said the duo died inhaling toxic gas caused.
