Head-on collision of buses leaves 5 dead in Bogra

Five women were killed and 25 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses on Bogra-Rangpur highway in Shibganj upazila of Bogra on Wednesday afternoon.

The deadly road crash took place at Mokamtala Kashipur under the upazila around 12:45pm, said Sub-inspector Shamim Akter, in-charge of Mokamtala Police Outpost.

Details of the deceased would not be known immediately.

A Dhaka-bound bus of Nabil Paribahan collided with another Rangpur-bound bus coming from opposite direction in the area this noon, leaving five women dead on the spot and 25 others injured, he said.

The injured were  whisked off to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital and different local hospitals.
