25 hurt in Gazipur train fire

At least 25 passengers received injuries as a fire was broken out at a Noakhali-bound Upokul Express near Doripara area in Gazipur on Thursday afternoon.
The two coaches of the Noakhali-bound Upakul Express train caught fire at Kaliganj Arikhola station’s outer signal in Gazipur and panic spread among the passengers at that time.
Arikhola station master Dilip Kumar has confirmed the incident to Samakal tonight.
'Being informed of the fire, several fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire after their two hours efforts on the day,' says the master.
The injured were sent to the local health complex, he added.
