16 witnesses give deposition over attack on Khadija

A total of sixteen witnesses have given deposition in a case filed against suspended Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader, Badrul Alam, for stabbing college girl, Khadija Begum Nargis.

 

They have given their deposition before a court on Monday.

 

Sylhet Chief Metropolitan Judge M Saifuzzaman has reordered the testimony of the witnesses on the day.

 

The court started recording the depositions 11:15am while ended around 2.00pm.

 

The condition of Sylhet college girl Khadija Begum Nargis, who was hacked by a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), is improving day by day.

 

On October 3, Khadija Begum Nargis, 23, a student of Sylhet Government Mohila College and daughter of Masuk Miah, a resident of Hausa village in Sadar upazila, was hacked on her way home from college by Badrul Alam, the assistant secretary of SUST unit of BCL.

 

Hearing screams of the victim, locals rescued Khadija and caught Badrul from the spot and handed him over to police after giving him a good thrashing.
