'MP Liton died due to excessive bleeding'

The ruling Awami League lawmaker from Gaibandha-1 constituency Manzurul Islam Liton who was shot dead by unidentified assailants at his home in Bamondanga area of Sundarganj on Saturday, was died due to "excessive bleeding".
Citing the autopsy report, Narayanchandra Shaha, the chairperson of the forensic department of Rangpur Medical College, has confirmed this on Sunday.
According to family sources, three men riding on a motorbike came to Liton's house on Saturday evening and managed to flee after shooting him to dead.
“Liton was killed in a planned way," Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, however, opined after the murder incident.
The AL leader also the Road Transport and Bridge Minister in the country said, “Religious fundamentalists and communal forces are involved with the murder.”
