Satkhira BCL leader found dead

A leader of the ruling Awami League's student front Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has been found dead in Satkhira.

Police recovered the body of Hasibul Hasan Emon, 25, from a fish farm at Amtola Beel under Dhulihor union near the district town on Tuesday morning.  

Emon, a student of Azam Khan Commerce College, was the son of Ikbal Hasan Liton of Sultanpur village under the Sadar upazila.  

He was the joint secretary general of BCL’s Satkhira district unit.

Firoz Hossain Mollah, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station, said it is suspected that miscreants strangled him to death and dumped the body near the fish firm.  

Two friends of the victim—Murad and Biplob—were detained for interrogation, said the OC adding that the body has been sent to Satkhira Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
