3 killed in Pabna road crash

Three people were killed when a truck hit a tree in Pabna on Friday morning.

The incident took place on Dhaka-Pabna highway in Dulai Bazar area under Sujanagar upazila around 8:00am.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Muhammad Shahid, Sergeant of Madhabpur Highway police, said the truck skidded off the road and hit the tree as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving its driver and two other dead on the spot.

The truck was going to Dhaka loading with the equipment of the Palli Bidyut Samity, he said.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to the local hospital morgue.
