Govt to build 3 land ports in Ctg

In a bid to boost country’s business with other parts of world, the government has taken initiatives to build three land ports in the port city.
The decision came in a meeting held at the shipping ministry’s conference room here in the capital on Sunday.
Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan presided over the meeting on the day.
The Shipping Minister has briefed reporters in this regard after the meeting.
While chatting with newsmen after the meeting, he said, ‘The business activities with foreign countries including neighboring India will be increased once the ports are built there.’
State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Bir Bahadur, Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS) chairman Jyotirindra Bodhipriya Larma and some of the government high-ups were present, among others, in the meeting.
