Police seek remand for Potiya teacher attacker

Police have sought remand for Ahasan Ullah Tutul, prime accused in a case for beating school teacher Misfa Sultana in Patiya upazila of Chittagong.

Kamal Hossain, Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, produced the accused before the court of Chittagong Senior Judicial Magistrate on Wednesday and sought remand for interrogation.

The hearing on the remand petition, however, will be held tomorrow (Thursday).

Meanwhile, the teachers of the upazila formed a human chain demanding exemplary punishment for attacker Tutul.

Tutul, stalker of Misfa, stormed into the class with a shovel yesterday morning when she was teaching children and started beating her indiscriminately.
