Long traffic tailback in Dhaka-Tangail highway

Holiday-makers are suffering immensely as there has been a severe gridlock on Dhaka-Tangail highway in around 30km from Kaliakoir's Chandra of Gazipur to Mirzapur's Pakullah.

Due to the huge vehicles in the road as well as a truck went out of service cause long tailback.

Rangpur-bound Rabiul Alam said he went in the bus at 12:00am, their bus stuck in jam reaching Chandra at 2:30pm.

Another passenger Tahmina Begum said she along with their children started from village home at night, but still stuck in jam. Her children are in immense sufferings.

Mirzapur Gorai Highway Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Khalilur Rahman Patwari said every Thursday to Friday people see huge traffic congregation duo to the construction work of four-lane road.
