SWAT reaches in Moulvibazar 'militant den'

SWAT, special team of police, members arrived in the alleged militant hideouts at Nasirpur village in Moulvibazar Sadar upazila on Wednesday.

The team along with police Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crimes chief Monirul Islam reached the spot around 4:45pm and are preparing for drive.
 
Local members of law enforcement agencies have cordoned off two suspected militant hideouts in Moulvibazar municipality area since Tuesday night.  

Separate gun shots and blasts were heard reportedly in the area.

The law enforcement members has broken the door of one of the hideouts when the operation is going on at two separate houses owned by one Saifur Rahman of US expatriate that are rented by alleged militants.

The members of the law enforcement agencies have started operation there from 4:00am Wednesday.

Police promulgate section 144 to prevent unlawful activities near the claimed militant hideouts.
