Nephew kills school teacher for money: Police

The Detective Branch (DB) of the district police claimed that Nowroz Kabir alias Nishat (19) killed senior teacher Roksana Khanam (52) of Kushtia Zilla School for drug and gambling money.

DB Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasir Uddin said that during the preliminary interrogation of the police on Monday night, Nowroz, nephew of the victim, confessed to be involved in the murder.

Roksana's husband Mostafizur Rahman named Nowroz as the plaintiff and filed a murder case with the police station accusing two to three others.

Later, the district intelligence police arrested Nowroz from the housing area of the town at around 12 o'clock on Monday night.
