PM formally opens International Fleet Review-2022

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has formally inaugurated International Fleet Review (IFR)-2022 at Inani in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, warships and marine organizations from 28 nations, including Bangladesh, participated in the four-day IFR.

In honor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's 100th birthday and the nation's 50th anniversary of independence, the Bangladesh Navy is hosting the IFR.

With the involvement of so many countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, India, China, Korea, Indonesia, Turkey, the Netherlands, and the host Bangladesh, it is the first IFR ever held in the country.

The IFR-2022 provides the perfect stage for worldwide warships to demonstrate their prowess, maritime diplomacy, goodwill, and collaboration.

The navy headquarters anticipate that the IFR would present a fantastic chance for Bangladesh in general and the Bangladesh Navy in particular to interact with other fleets in Bangladeshi waters and to boost infrastructural growth in the nation's coastal regions.

The event's general itinerary begins with the inauguration and is followed by a beach procession, fleet review, and glimpses of the activity of the special forces at sea.

To showcase Bangladesh and the participating nations' diverse cultures and rich traditions, international cuisine festivals and cultural activities attended by foreign participants were also organized.
