Four of a family killed in Ramu landslide

A landslide at Kauarkup union in the Ramu upazila of Cox's Bazar has claimed the lives of our family members.

The victims include Azizur Rahman, 55, his wife Rahima Khatun, 45, their mother-in-law Dil Furuz Begum, 70, and their granddaughter Nasima Akhter, 25.

While Azizur's family was having supper Wednesday night, a mountaintop unexpectedly fell, according to Ramu Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Fahmida Mustafa.

Firefighters and police responded quickly to the call and recovered the bodies, he added.
