5 killed in truck-microbus collision while returning home with expat from airport

Five people including a child were killed and 5 others injured in a road accident in thick fog while bringing Malaysian expatriate Salam Mia from Dhaka's Shahjalal International Airport by microbus.

The accident took place in front of the Madador company in Shahpur Newbazar area of Dhaka-Sylhet highway of Madhabpur upazila in the early hours of Saturday.

Madhabpur police station's night patrol officer Monirul Haque Munshi confirmed the fact of the incident and said that the vehicles involved in the accident have been seized. 

The process of handing over the bodies to the relatives is going on, he added.

The deceased are Salam Mia,35, Sihab Mia,12, Safia Begum, 20, and Safia's 1-year-old child Habiba Jannat of Shuknadi village of Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar district and Satir Ali, 35, a microbus driver of Dasbhagh village of the same upazila.
