Tetulia records season's lowest temperature

Tetulia of Panchagarh in Bangladesh recorded the season's lowest temperature in the 24 hours prior to Saturday morning at 6.1 degrees Celsius as a mild cold wave extends throughout some of the country.

On the other hand, Dhaka reported a temperature of 14.70 degrees Celsius at this time and had the worst air in the world.

Although a minor cold wave is now impacting most of the divisions, including Rajshahi and Rangpur, a source from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) claimed that it may pass within the next one to two days.

The weather may continue to be dry with a brief partly cloudy sky across the country, the meteorologist said, adding that nighttime temperatures may be practically unchanged and daytime temperatures may climb by 1-2° Celsius.

A light cold wave is defined as temperatures between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius, a moderate cold wave as 6 to 8 degrees Celsius, and a severe cold wave as less than 6 degrees Celsius.
