Char Betagoir Kendriyo Pathagar accords reception to meritorious students

Char Betagoir Kendriyo Pathagar, a library established in Char Betagoir Union under Nandail Upazila of Mymensingh, has accorded a reception to the meritorious students of three secondary high schools.

On the occasion a discussion meeting and cultural programme was organized on the premises of Char Betagair Union Parishad on Saturday (February 18). 

Students and guests enthralled the audience with speeches, jokes, poetry recitation, and performance of music.

Later, the guests presented a Bangla Academy English-Bengla Dictionary to the brilliant students who took first, second and third positions in the classes of seven, eight, nine and ten at Madhupur Bahumukhi High School, Anwarul Hossain Khan Chowdhury High School and Char Uttarband MH High School. 

In addition, the award was also given to 37 successful students who obtained GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent examinations held in 2022.

Alauddin Akand, the managing director of Biocon Bangladesh Ltd, presided over the ceremony, and Sazzad Hossain Sazib, a Janata Bank officer, served as the moderator.

Mercantile Bank Senior Vice President Farid Ahmed Shaheen, Janata Bank Principal Officer Shamim Al Mamun, Char Betagir Union Parishad Chairman Farid Uddin Sarkar, eminent entrepreneur Abu Aktar Fakir, noted businessman Anwarul Islam, The Daily Samakal Senior Sub-Editor Mohammed Humayun Kabir, Engineer Bakhtiar Khilzi, Advocate Mostafizur Rahman Sadek, Shafiqul Islam Shaheen, Riaz Uddin, Jalal Uddin Master, Mizanur Rahman Master, Amirul Islam, Shafiqul Islam Master, Manik Master attended the programme as special guests.

The event was organized to motivate today's talented and accomplished students so that they can develop into capable citizens and bring welfare to family, society, state and the world.

The discussants highlighted the importance of reading books and urged the students to visit the library regularly and read books to get ready for the future. 

The function that built up amazing relationships between seniors and juniors was concluded followed by lunch.
