PM opens Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Hamid Cantonment

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Hamid Cantonment in Mithamoin upazila of Kishoreganj district.

The premier landed in Mithamoin at 11 am on Tuesday and opened the cantonment located on the banlk of the Ghorautra river. 

Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Hamid Cantonment has been constructed on 275 acres of land.

Later, the prime minister is set to visit the ancestral home of President Abdul Hamid and have lunch. Some 23 kinds of fishes will be delivered in her lunch menu.

The PM will address a rally at the Mithamoin Sadar helipad at 3 pm. 

Thousands of party men and public from all walks of life will join the rally. A festive mood is prevail in the entire locality to celebrate the prime minister.

Sheikh Hasina last visited Mithamoin in 1998 when Abdul Hamid was the deputy speaker of parliament.
