19 rivers to be excavated in haor regions

The government will take projects for excavation of 19 rivers in haor regions to ensure normal flow of water. 

State Minister for Water Resources Zahid Faruq on Wednesday said that it is urgent to take river excavation projects for protecting the people of haor region from natural disaster, specially flood.

Zahid Faruq made the disclosure while talking to journalists during visiting Tuphankhali Crop Protection Embankment in Derai Upzila of the district.
