Death toll from Madaripur bus crash reaches to 20

The death toll from bus crash in Kutubpur area of Shibchar upazila in Madaripur district has reached to 20.

The driver of the Dhaka-bound bus from Khulna of Imad Paribahan lost control over the wheel and fell into the ditch before the Padma Bridge of Shibchar on Sunday morning, leaving 14 dead on the spot and at least 20 others injured.

Officer-in-Charge of Shibchar Highway Police OC Abu Nayeem Md Mofazzel Haque said four people succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Shibchar Upazila Health Complex and two others died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
