Training on disability and digital Inclusion for journalists held

A day-long training programme on disability and digital inclusion for journalists was held on Monday at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity.

Aspire to Innovate (a2i) and social organization FRIENDSHIP jointly organized the event for the 25 journalists working in the popular national media outlets, said a press release.

After the day-long training, Ayesha Tahsin Khan, Senior Director of FRIENDSHIP, distributed certificates among the journalists.

In her speech, she highlighted the activities of the 'Disability Project' taken for the disable people in the char areas of Kurigram and Gaibandha districts.

The senior director of FRIENDSHIP also called upon the newsmen to highlight the limitations of physically challenged people in the media.

Ayesha hopes that disabled people will become an asset in the society through the implementation of such a programme with the help of journalists.

Dhaka Reporters Unity-DRU President Mursalin Nomani joined the certificate distribution ceremony as a special guest.

The sessions were conducted by the national consultant of a2i Vashkar Bhattacharjee, director of FRIENDSHIP Nederlands Betteke de Gaay Fortman, Nusrat Zerin, AGM FRIENDSHIP, Team Leader Abu Mohammad Shihab and Technical Lead Nusrat Zerin.
