Fire guts 11 fabric scrap warehouses in Gazipur

A devastating fire broke out in Gazipur's Konabari on Friday night, destroying 11 fabric scrap warehouses.

Confirming the matter, Kashimpur DBL Fire Service Ware House inspector Mirajul Islam said the fire started in a warehouse adjacent to Kashimpur Central Jail in Dewaliabari area and then spread to the other warehouses.

On information, seven firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after 5 hours.

No casualties were reported in the incident. The extent of damage and the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
