By-poll for Chattogram-10 to be held on Jul 30

The by-election for the Chattogram-10 constituency will be held on July 30.

The Election Commission on Thursday decided on the date at a meeting chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal.

According to EC Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam, the deadline for submitting nomination papers is July 4.

Following the evaluation of the nominees on July 6, the application withdrawal date is July 12. 

In accordance with the election schedule, the distribution of symbols will take place the next day.

The EC secretary announced that CCTV cameras would be used to monitor voting in every polling centre for the Dhaka-17 and Chattogram-10 by-elections.
