Mother, daughter hacked to death in Noakhali

A mother and her daughter were hacked to death around 10:30 am on Wednesday at Burlington intersection of Guptank under Ward No. 5 of Noakhali municipality.

The deceased are Fazle Azim Kochi Mia's wife Noor Nahar Begum, 45, and their school-going daughter Fatema Azim Priyanti.

Police arrested one person in connection with the incident, said Mizanur Rahman Pathan, Police Inspector (Investigation) of Sudharam Model Police Station.

Police have not yet revealed anything about the cause of the murders, he added.
