20 injured in Naogaon road accident

At least 20 people were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and two microbuses in Naogaon town's Abdul Jalil Park area.

Naogaon Sadar thana officer-in-charge Faisal Bin Hasan said the accident occurred when the driver of a Sapahar-bound Hanif Enterprise bus lost control and collided head-on with two microbuses in the Abdul Jalil Park area at 7pm on Friday.

Passengers of the vehicles and visitors of the park walking nearby were injured in the accident, he said.

Locals, police and firefighters took the injured to Naogaon Sadar Hospital. Four of the injured were referred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for better treatment, he added.
