Two killed in Tangail road accident

Two people have been killed and four others injured in a collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Dhanbari Upazila of Tangail on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as CNG driver Wazed Mia, 42, and Halim, 32. 

Edris Ali, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhanbari Thana, said the accident occurred this morning in Chattarkandi area on Tangail-Jamalpur Highway.

Wazed and Halim of Jamalpur district succumbed to their injuries at Dhanbari Upazila Health Complex, he added. 

Bodies were handed over to their respective family members," the OC said.

Of the injured, three were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
