Three go missing as boat capsizes in Lalmonirhat

Three people went missing after a boat capsized in the Teesta River at Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat district on Sunday morning.

The boat sank at the Hajir Mor area of Singimari Union at around 9am, confirmed the union parishad chairman Monowar Hossain Dulu.

A divers' team of the Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD) Rangpur unit were conducting a rescue mission to find the missing passengers.

The missing individuals were identified as Mofizul Islam Mofiz, Ohidul Islam, and Fazlul Haque, all hailing from Singimari Union.
